Quiet: The Power of Introverts in a World That Can’t Stop Talking by Susan Cain

2018-10-13-16-31-55.jpg So many crazy thoughts came crashing in on me throughout the whole time I was listening to this book. It’s even got me trying out new things with my son to help him feel more comfortable in public. It is so amazing.

Okay, to start at the beginning, this book has been on my TBR for a while because I’ve known I’m an introvert for a few years now and I’ve been learning more and more about what that means, but I hadn’t moved it up because I had a million books to read. I still have a million books to read on challenges and memoirs and stuff but this title came circling back around to me in my family and I happened to have an Audible credit. It was so illuminating on not just introversion, but also how the world interacts with introverts and what can be done to improve the situations.

I haven’t been able to stop talking about it either. I’ve told my husband he needed to listen to it over and over again to understand where our son is at. I can pretty much fly under the radar these days when it comes to social interaction, but he is still in the beginning of figuring out how to control his environment that way. I’m really hopeful. Anyway, if you’re an introvert or are close to one, definitely read this book. It is incredible and so validating for my experience.

You can find it on Amazon, Goodreads, and Booklikes. Definitely find it. So good.

  1. So glad to read your review and to hear how powerful you found this book. I am absolutely an introvert, and I picked up this book a while ago… and still haven’t read it. Maybe I should use my next Audible credit for this as well.
